"I'll go help, Mr. Fowler." Yohan reluctantly paused the game and stood up.
"Take an umbrella. If the chickens run, at least you'll be able to chase them without getting soaked," Mark reminded him.
After some thought, he too got up and followed Yohan outside.
The chicken coop was at the back of the house, built with brick walls and a metal roof.
It had rained all afternoon. The chickens and ducks were all inside, sheltered from the rain, and not venturing out.
By the time Yohan and Mark reached the coop, Clara had already caught one chicken, but she quickly released it.
"Mr. Fowler, every hen is in its laying period. It would be a shame to kill one. How about we kill a rooster instead?"
