Inside Spencer Group, Zion leaned back in his chair in the meeting room with his eyes half-closed. He listened to the same points being rehashed repeatedly.
Finally, with a hint of weariness, he broke the cycle. "Are you all done talking?"
The room fell into immediate silence.
All eyes turned to Zion, and every attendee held their breath as though the man before them were a ticking time bomb.
"Looks like there's nothing more to discuss, then." Zion rose to his feet.
Ever since this morning, he'd been plagued by an unexplainable sense of unease. It wasn't something he could pinpoint, but the feeling was unsettling nonetheless.
One of the attendees, flustered by Zion's sudden move, quickly stood as well. "Mr. Spencer, there are still some proposals waiting for your—"
"If I have to personally handle everything, then what's the point of employing all of you?" Zion frowned slightly.
