Celeste wore a flowing, lake-blue gown with a sheer blanket draped over her shoulders. She was just as stunning and elegant as the woman in the photographs.
In her arms, Sabrina was still a little girl—no more than a year old.
"Mom?"
Samuel stood frozen.
"Sam, where's the baby bottle?" Just then, Celeste was rifling through the living room.
A maid hurried over while holding out a bottle from the kitchen. "Mrs. Palmer, here it is."
"Oh, thank God. I was worried sick."
Celeste cradled Sabrina in her arms and fed her.
"Mom…" Samuel still couldn't believe it. The woman in front of him—this was Celeste. It was really Celeste.
"What's wrong?" She looked up at him with a puzzled expression.
"Are your studies wearing you out? I told your father not to push you so hard, but he never listens! That's it—no more lessons today.
"My son is already brilliant. You don't have to drown in textbooks."
