When Scarlett was spacing out, Jeremy had gotten ready and left the house. Jeremy pulled out his phone to call Eloise, but he was immediately reminded of Eloise's question for him when they were at the ski area. Rubbing his forehead, he irritably shoved his phone back into the pocket. He decided that he needed an understanding and obedient woman as his wife rather than someone who fixated on him and forbade him from sleeping around or coming home late. Jeremy had decided to marry Eloise because she felt like a friend who happened to check off all his requirements for a wife.
