Cedric's voice carried a hint of exhaustion. He looked at Noelle and said, "What do you want to eat?" "Anything's fine. How about L Bistro? It's much closer," Noelle replied. She could tell that he was tired, given the dark circles under his eyes. Cedric said nothing more, and both of them got into a car and headed to L Bistro. He was not driving this time and had a driver come with them. When they arrived at the private room, they found that there were already other people there. It was Jeremy and Alfred. Jeremy looked at Noelle and said, "Let me pick the place the next time we make plans for dinner. What's so great about L Bistro anyway?" Noelle replied, "It's nearby, and we're mainly gathering here in order to talk. We can always choose somewhere else for dinner next time." Jeremy did not press the issue further. He just seemed to want to make his presence known. Alfred then spoke up. "I've been investigating Carl recently. He hasn't really left the island over the past few y
