Daphne leaned in close to Herkoen's ear and whispered, "What did you say? I didn't quite catch it." Herkoen couldn't believe she was feigning ignorance. He gritted his teeth and snarled, "You should probably get your ears checked." "Come on, say something! Where's that arrogance of yours now?" Daphne teased, tilting his chin up while holding him in place with her psionic strength. "Alright, alright. I was the one in the wrong!" "That's more like it!" Daphne's countenance radiated satisfaction, yet her moment of triumph was abruptly cut short as Herkoen reversed their positions, pinning her beneath him. Daphne couldn't wrap her head around it. How had things changed so suddenly? Everything had been going smoothly a second ago. In the end, the shoe was on the other foot. "It would appear that the tables have turned now!" Herkoen smiled triumphantly, repeating Daphne's previous actions. Having noticed the confusion in her gaze, Herkoen now felt compelled to offer her an explanatio
