  Author’s POV.    Tracy’s heart raced as she watched the scene unfold before her eyes. He had caught a glimpse of her, and this time, he fastened the kiss, pushing the lady against the wall with an intensity that stole the air from her lungs.   The pain in her chest was overwhelming. Her heart shattered as the tears began to fall, unrelenting, as she turned and ran off.   Alex pulled away from the lady, letting out a heavy sigh. He tugged at his suit jacket, his breath escaping in shallow exhalations.   “I… I’m sorry about that. You… you looked like my girlfriend,” he lied to the lady, scratching the back of his neck, his discomfort visible. The lady smiled seductively, licking her lower lip, clearly unfazed by his apology.   “I don’t mind, handsome. We could start from here,” she winked, and Alex scoffed, walking away. She stared at him, fondling her chest, fantasizing about what could have been.   Tracy, in her car, had just finished calling Hazel to let her know she was leavi
