Chapter 156
He’d turned the pool house into a gym. He supposed it wasn’t technically a ‘pool house,’ but more of an overgrown cabana. It had a bathroom and a large open space, which he’d filled with gym equipment. He should probably put a bed out there because he’d spent so much time in there the past week. Hopefully, his lawyers will have a resolution soon. Heather wasn’t contesting, exactly, but she was driving a hard bargain. There was something up with her. He’d thought offering her a shit load of money would have her walking away happily, but she hadn’t. He couldn’t quite work out her game and he wasn’t all that interested, he just wanted her gone and then maybe he and Becky could pick up where they left off.
He strapped on his gloves and pounded into the punching bag. It felt good to hit something, more satisfying than running miles on the treadmill that’s for sure.
