Grandpa called me as I stepped out of the shower.
I picked up my phone from the nightstand and sat on the edge of the bed while I answered the call.
"Hello, Celine."
"Good evening, Grandpa. How is your day going?"
"My day has been eventful. Yours?"
"Similar. How's Arrow?"
"His doctor said he will be discharged in a few days," Grandpa said with relief in his voice.
"That's great news. I'm happy for you."
"Thanks, love. We will be visiting your parents next week. You shouldn't forget."
"Of course. How can I ever forget that?"
"Good. Make the preparations that need to be done and wrap up your schedule on time."
"Yes, Grandpa."
"Have you eaten dinner?"
"I have."
"What did you eat? Another take-out?"
"I have no choice, Grandpa."
"This is why I insist that you should get married on time. If you and Trevor are together–you're a lost cause when it comes to cooking, but he will either cook a sumptuous dinner for both of you, of you can have a live-in house help."
