The engine sputtered out as I switched off the ignition.
I was exhausted from all the hours I had worked today. Today had been a very eventful day.
Thankfully, Aicher saga had been resolved. I would have hated that bloke to ruin my months of hardwork over his own silly pet-peeve against me.
Aicher's stunt failed to make a deleterious impact on today's program, as he had planned, and I was grateful for that.
I sagged back in my seat, waiting a moment to catch my breath.
My feet throbbed in my heels, and I wanted nothing more than to take them off.
But I was almost inside, and I couldn't possibly pad on my bare foot into the house.
That idea sounded entertaining.
I stamped it down before it thought too highly of itself, considering that I might entertain it.
I got down from the car and walked in.
Trevor had prepared a feast; everywhere in the house smelled good.
My stomach rumbled in appreciation, almost to the point of embarrassment, as I walked in.
