Kyra's POV Kieran arrived at Emily's apartment right on time. When I saw him, my emotions got all mixed up. He came with two men, wearing a perfectly fitted black suit that looked professional. This was totally different from the broken, empty-eyed Kieran I'd seen before my wedding. He had changed back into his old self. A powerful, confident Alpha who people respected. He sat across from us while Nathan stayed beside me, holding my hand protectively. The tension in the room was thick. Talking on the phone and meeting face to face were completely different things. Even though we'd agreed to keep our distance, seeing him brought back a bunch of memories I'd tried to forget. An awkward silence filled the room. My mind was racing with too many thoughts. In the past, every time I saw Kieran, I ended up yelling at him. But now, after everything we'd been through, the awkwardness was almost too much to handle. Nathan cleared his throat. "We need your help." This was one of the things I loved
