Chapter 1014
Afternoon.
It was close to six o’clock in the evening when Zivon arrived at the studio. He did not see Xavia at her seat and frowned. “Where is she?”
Bianca stood up. “She said that she was going to wash her face.” After that, she whispered conspiratorially, “She tried to take the test in the afternoon and has been in a pretty bad mood after she failed to get the first question right.”
She was not trying to betray her friend—she just felt that Xavia needed comfort right now.
Zivon's frown deepened.
Take the test? Did she mean the matchmaking app?
The young lady had actually tried it out?
“Thank you,” Zivon said indifferently to Bianca.
Suddenly, Xavia came out from the bathroom, and was surprised to see Zivon there. “You got off work early today?”
“Yes. I want you to meet someone.” Zivon then took her hand. “Are you tired from working? Do you want to take a break first?”
“No, it's fine. I’m not tired when I am working in the studio.” It was only tiring when they were out filming.
Xavia left with Zivon after saying goodbye to Bianca.
Xavia did not think too much about who they were going to meet because she thought it would be a respected elder like before. However, she was stunned when they arrived at the upscale western restaurant.
The beautiful woman who was seated there had a commanding and somewhat condescending aura. She had wavy shoulder-length hair, a delicate face, fair skin, and red lips. She was wearing a fashionable white pantsuit that emphasized her long and slender legs, and had a ruby-colored watch on her wrist. Her earrings were exquisite and expensive, and her manner was noble and sophisticated.
Sophia Harrison—a powerful career woman who was incomparably perfect.
Even though she was undeniably gorgeous, she still seemed approachable. Her delicate face and intent gaze could move and mesmerize others.
She was like a famous actress or supermodel, and people would definitely feel inferior if they stood beside her.
Xavia could not help but clench her fists.
She really did not expect that Zivon would take her to meet Sophia. Had she known, she would have changed her clothes, put on some makeup, and would not have looked as pathetic as she did now.
Right now, Xavia felt very ashamed.
Meanwhile, Sophia was sizing Xavia up. The young lady looked simple and clean. She had soulful and bright eyes, and her skin was fair and flawless.
Was this Jenna? No, Jenna did not have such a youthful aura, so it had to be Jenna’s sister, Xavia.
Xavia was Zivon’s type, even though she looked exactly like Jenna?
So it was not about appearance, but personality. It was said that all good-looking people were the same, but an interesting person was one in a million.
If a person had fallen in love with someone’s personality, it would be very difficult to change their feelings.
Sophia had a cold look in her eyes as she stood up and said, “Hello, Miss Xavia Lockhart. I’m Sophia Harrison, it’s an honor to meet you.”
Direct, sharp, and concise.
Xavia really felt very small before her. “Hello. I feel very honored too; I’ve seen you before on the news and I really admire your achievements. You’re also very beautiful, like a goddess among women.”
Sophia smiled and said, “Thank you, Miss Lockhart, but you really don’t need to praise me. Sit down and see what you’d like to eat.”
She handed the menu over in a friendly manner.
Zivon said softly to Xavia, “You can order whatever you like. Sophia has been a friend that I’ve worked closely with for many years so you can consider yourself her friend too. You don’t need to be so formal and cautious.”
