A familiar husky voice rang out from somewhere in front of Naomi, making the smile freeze on her face. She had stopped in her tracks while scrolling through the messages without noticing it and now realized that she was standing at the top of the steps of her building. Scott's voice had snapped her out of the delightful banter, and she lifted her head to stare rather stiffly at the man before her.
