Nancy deeply regretted not realizing earlier that it was unlikely for Amy, who hadn't been in contact for a long time, to suddenly call and ask her out. She should have suspected that Melissa might be living at Amy's place since she returned from abroad. But by now, it was too late for Nancy to back out. With a heavy heart, she walked up to table number nine. "Long time no see, Amy, Melissa." Nancy stared at Melissa, showing defiance in her eyes as if challenging her. "What are you going to do about me?" "Sit down, Nancy" Melissa gestured with a seemingly innocent smile. "It's been six years since the three of us, such good friends, have been together. Amy picked this sunny afternoon for us to catch up." "Yeah, let's catch up." Amy cheerfully agreed, showing no trace of friendliness towards Nancy. Nancy snorted lightly "Catch up? I don't have time. Melissa's smile remained gentle, yet her tone was full of sarcasm. "Melissa, is there any point in talking about this now. Liam is already my husband, don't hope for him to come back to you!" Nancy lowered her voice, highly agitated. She would by no means allow anyone to shake her position as Mrs. Humphrey. "As for a jerk like Liam, I wouldn't dare to have him." Melissa retorted sarcastically. As she spoke, she and Amy exchanged a glance.The plan has begun! Amy stood up silently "I need to use the restroom."
