The betrayal hit me like a physical blow, stealing the breath from my lungs and making my vision blur with tears. Behind me, I heard Lumina slam against the bars with enough force to bend the metal slightly. She was furious as well hearing the despicable words that was pouring from Zade's mouth.
"He did it for my son!" she screamed, her wolf rising to the surface as her eyes began to glow golden as the bars creaked underneath her hands which made some elders step back, but she was so focused on her pain and anger that she barely noticed what she was doing.
"Lyn risked his life to save Ollie! How can you forsake him like this?" She yelled at Zade feeling betrayed and hurt about his words. I knew this was going to hurt their friendship. Lumina had always believed Zade to be someone who would do whatever it takes, even if it's said to be wrong. Seeing him shatter her trust in him was painful.
