Chapter 383
Lily chose to ignore Christina, purely out of regard for Morgan. She strode toward the fitting rooms with a proud expression.
Morgan watched Lily's retreating figure and couldn't help but lick his lips. His gaze flickered with an intensity that bordered on fervent, a tinge of crimson bleeding into his irises.
"She's gorgeous…"
When he admired her graceful silhouette, his heart raced. It was as though he'd had a glimpse of heaven.
Meanwhile, Lily arrived at the fitting room and happened to run into Christina. Her expression turned icy cold. It was as frigid as the depths of winter.
"Hello, Ms. Sterling," Christina greeted awkwardly. After all, they had met before, so she couldn't pretend she didn't know her.
"Hmph!" Lily scoffed coldly, refusing to respond. She was far too proud to greet someone like Christina.
This left Christina feeling awkward, forcing a bitter smile. It was like offering warm feelings, only to be met with a cold rebuke.
Seeing Lily ignore her, Christina could only quietly step away to change her outfit. The fitting rooms looked shabby—seven or eight in total, each separated by simple curtains.
Jenny was idly waiting for Hayden and Christina. Suddenly, something caught her attention. A quick flash of light darted across her vision.
She'd experienced it before, back in her school days. It was like someone was using a mirror to reflect sunlight, deliberately shining it her way.
Her brows furrowed as a flicker of unease crossed her face. After that, she turned toward the fitting rooms.
When her gaze landed on it, she was stunned. The reflection caught the light and flashed her eyes. She immediately identified it as a camera!
She actually saw a man, Logan Brooks, sneaking around, hiding in a corner. This was clearly someone photographed secretly.
Jenny was always bold and straightforward, with a strong sense of justice. Seeing the scene unfold before her, there was no way she could just stand by.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Jenny shouted. Without hesitation, she charged forward.
The next moment, everyone around froze, their gazes turning toward Jenny. No one seemed to understand what had happened.
But only Morgan's expression changed as panic washed over him entirely. He realized things were taking a turn for the worse!
That idiot! What a useless fool! How could he get caught?
Morgan felt uneasy and hurried after Jenny to prevent the situation from escalating further. If Logan got caught and revealed his name, everything would be over for him.
It might even destroy any chance he had of being with Lily.
"Hey! Get out here!" Jenny shouted furiously.
At Jenny's shout, the people changing in the fitting room hurried out, including Christina and Lily. They looked completely confused, their gazes darting to Jenny blankly.
"Lily, are you okay? I'm here to protect you! What just happened?" Morgan asked, feigning ignorance.
"What's going on?" Christina said, her concern evident as she looked at Jenny.
"That jerk was taking pictures of you secretly! What a creep, so shameless! He is such a filthy freak and absolutely disgusting!" Jenny pointed to a corner, cursing loudly. She couldn't tolerate something like this!
"What?" Christina's expression darkened instantly, a mix of tension and unease crossing her face as she turned toward Logan.
