Chapter 387
"Who knows if this was all a setup? What you're doing is definitely ruining their plan!" Lily sneered as if she had figured everything out.
Her cold, indifferent gaze looked at Hayden with disgust, as if the entire situation was his doing. It seemed like he had orchestrated everything, and it was all falling apart now
"Lily, it's okay. Please don't say that! Even if I see something unjust happening, I will lend a hand. I'll take this man with me. You all should continue with what you're doing, okay?" Morgan's tone was gentle, almost as if he were pleading.
He desperately wanted this matter to end here.
"You stay out of it!" Hayden swung the iron rod slightly, glaring fiercely at Morgan.
"Hayden!" Morgan was stunned, frozen in place.
What was going on? Was that a threat? Was Hayden really going to interrogate Logan?
"Morgan, stop wasting your time with him. He's just an ungrateful person. No matter what you say, he still won't get your good intentions!
"Stay out of it. Who knows when he might dump the blame on you? I know these tricks too well. You've got to be careful! It's hard to understand someone!" Lily, worried about Morgan's safety, tried to persuade him again.
She even grabbed his arm, signaling him to stay out of trouble.
"I… I…" Morgan hesitated, frozen on the spot.
He even felt like the world was collapsing around him. This was a big problem.
Not only could he not engage with Hayden, but even Lily was stopping him! What the hell was going on?
"Tell me! What exactly were you photographing?" Hayden said coldly.
"I… I wasn't photographing anything! I was just changing outfits!" Logan swallowed hard, his expression tense.
Sweat streamed down Logan's face, making his tension obvious to the crowd. He was merely putting on a facade of calm.
"Changing outfits? Where are your clothes? How could you lie so blatantly? I clearly saw you standing in the fitting room and secretly photographing Christina while she was changing!
"Yet, you're claiming that you did nothing now. Do you think I'd believe that?" Jenny stepped forward decisively, her expression radiating righteous indignation.
She was the one who discovered him and witnessed the entire incident. How could she not see through Logan's lies?
"I don't know what nonsense you're talking about! I was just changing my clothes in the fitting room. You must have seen things wrongly. You're mistaken.
"I haven't offended you, but you're trying to slander me now. This man and lady can testify on my behalf. You're the one slandering me!" Logan said as if clinging to a lifeline, immediately looking toward Morgan and Lily.
After all, Lily and Morgan were the only ones who had stood up for him earlier.
"Yes. You're slandering him!" Lily agreed, nodding without a care.
Lily seemed like she really enjoyed going against Hayden.
"You are so ridiculous. It's easy to stand by indifferently when it has nothing to do with you. You're not involved in the trouble, so you can act like it doesn't matter.
"But what about the people who've actually been harmed? Have you ever considered them?" Jenny, filled with righteous anger, shouted loudly.
"Hmph! What does that have to do with me? I'm just speaking the truth. Is that not allowed?" Lily sneered and said coldly.
She had no idea that she would face utter humiliation in just a few minutes.
