Chapter 389
Lily leaned in closer and whispered, "Of course not! I was just thinking that if Hayden gets arrested, the cops will have to contact the family. And if the Sterling family's dragged into this matter, it will be a huge issue.
"I'm really worried. I don't want Hayden to stay stubborn and persist in this wrong path!" Morgan quickly found an excuse and softly explained it to Lily.
Upon hearing this, Lily instantly understood. Her gaze toward Morgan even held more respect.
"Morgan, I didn't expect you to be so thoughtful. I will have to see you in a new light now. You really care about the Sterling family, huh? This is what it means to have family in your heart!" Lily exclaimed, her face full of excitement.
She had decided that for Morgan's sake, she wouldn't let Hayden harm the Sterling family.
"Hayden, return the camera now. Stop being so stubborn!" Lily demanded.
"Return the camera? Just because you weren't involved, you say it so lightly?" Hayden responded coldly.
"Aren't you overreacting? He said that he was just changing his clothes in the fitting room. You don't even have any evidence that he secretly took photos! And you're grabbing his camera now. Is that the right thing to do?
"Even if he did take the pictures, so what? She's an internet celebrity—it's literally her job to be looked at by the public! You're unbelievable, always messing with us. It's so annoying!" Lily shot Hayden a disdainful glance, letting out a cold, mocking hum.
Her words to Hayden dripped with irritation and contempt. But even her sharp words couldn't sway Hayden's resolve.
"Right is right, and wrong is wrong. Don't bother talking to me about irrelevant nonsense. I don't care. What I truly care about is protecting the people I love, my family, my friends, making sure they don't get hurt!"
Hayden's conviction was unyielding as he powered on the camera and checked the photos.
"Ugh!" Logan could no longer hold his composure, lowering his head in defeat with a deep, helpless sigh.
He knew that there was no way to cover this up anymore. All he could do was wait for the punishment to come.
On the other hand, Morgan's expression drained of color, and his spine felt like jelly. He knew, without a doubt, that the photos on the camera would soon be exposed.
But then how could he avoid being implicated?
Morgan grew increasingly nervous and uneasy. Cold sweat trickled down Morgan's forehead as his anxiety escalated.
Meanwhile, Hayden had already turned on the camera and found the photos taken by Logan earlier. As he flipped through them, the first photo he saw was a striking expanse of white skin.
He quickly frowned, his face filled with anger. He never expected Logan to have really taken these intimate photos.
The photos were so detailed. They captured smooth, glowing skin, her entire back dazzling and radiant. There were even photos of her long dress being taken off, revealing slender, straight legs, which were shockingly exposed.
Each photo was so clear. Hayden never imagined that the first time he'd see Christina's body would be in a situation like this.
His expression grew darker, his eyes blazing with fury. That's no doubt. The evidence was undeniable this time.
Just as Hayden was about to use it as proof to arrest Logan, suddenly, the next photo left him completely stunned. His face showed utter disbelief.
In that photo, he saw the woman's face clearly—it wasn't Christina at all.
It was Lily.
