Chapter 394
In Lily's eyes, there was only Jenny now. She was the one who had crossed her.
Just as Lily thought she was about to slap Jenny, a figure suddenly appeared.
It was Hayden.
He raised his arm and blocked her hand, stopping her slap in its tracks.
Lily felt like her hand had hit a rock. It was that hard. The sound was sharp and clear.
Her mind went blank for a moment, and then pain shot through her hand, making it twitch.
She had hit Hayden's arm.
"You..."
Lily's eyes filled with tears, her anger rising as she glared at Hayden.
She felt wronged, like she was being bullied, consumed by rage.
"First off, she didn't say anything wrong. Those were your words. Second, she's my sister. If you dare lay a hand on her, I'll make you regret it. This is your warning. If you touch her again, I won't be blocking you. I'll be hitting you."
Hayden's gaze was icy, his face dark as he stared down Lily. It was clear that he wasn't joking.
At that moment, Lily was completely stunned. She stood there, dumbfounded, still seething with anger but unsure of what to say.
She was just a woman. There was no way she could take on Hayden.
Where was Morgan right now?
"Morgan, why haven't you come back yet?" Lily thought to herself.
Meanwhile, Morgan had dragged Logan outside the medieval town.
He was acting suspiciously, looking around to make sure no one was watching.
He found a quiet spot and whispered, "Hurry up! Take the money, and leave the city. Come back in a year or two."
Then, he pulled out a bank card, his eyes cold as he stared at Logan.
It felt like a threat.
"But... my camera..."
Logan's face was full of worry, his voice trembling as he looked at Morgan.
That camera had cost him a lot of money.
It was practically the most valuable thing he owned.
Thinking about it made him feel like his heart was bleeding.
"Don't even think about it..."
Morgan's temper flared as he grabbed Logan by the collar, his anger boiling over.
"You're still talking about that? You were sloppy, got caught sneaking photos, and now you're complaining?" Morgan yelled.
If it wasn't for this mess, he'd probably have had Lily's favor by now.
Not to mention, he would've seen the photos.
But now, Hayden had gotten to them first.
"I... I didn't think that woman would find me. I've never messed up before!" Logan said bitterly, explaining helplessly.
"Stop talking! Here's 30 thousand dollars. That should be enough to buy a couple of cameras. Use the rest of the money to lay low in another town. Come back when things blow over! When our family heads to the capital, that's when you can come back safely." Morgan let go of him, his tone as cold as ice.
"But I don't want to leave. This is my home. Everything I have is here! If I leave, my parents will be worried about me. Who's going to cook for me, buy me clothes, and buy me snacks?" Logan's face stiffened as he nervously looked at Morgan.
Morgan groaned, his face full of frustration.
"This guy... seriously. What a piece of work! Not only is he a loser, but he's also a leech off his parents!" Morgan thought.
"Hurry up. If the cops don't catch you, I will. If you don't listen, your family's going to get dragged into this. Let's see how you deal with that." Morgan's eyes turned cold, his voice dangerously low.
"I..."
Logan immediately froze, trembling with fear. He hadn't realized how ruthless the guy in front of him could be.
But he had no choice—he was in too deep now.
