"Clang!"
Daphne was holding a glass of water, but the moment she heard what Tristan said, her grip slipped, and the glass dropped onto the table with a loud bang.
Luckily, it didn’t break, but the crash was loud enough to jolt the room.
"Daphne, what's wrong?" Tristan asked, voice dripping with “concern.”
Trying to stay calm, Daphne quickly turned and sat down on the couch, clutching her phone tightly. “It’s nothing. Tristan, do you need a blood transfusion? That’s why you want me to get a blood test at the hospital?”
When Tristan had his car accident earlier, she was totally freaked out.
She was terrified he’d need a transfusion from a relative and she’d end up exposed.
Thankfully, the injuries weren’t serious and he hadn’t needed her blood, so she’d breathed a sigh of relief.
But now, it seemed like she couldn’t dodge it forever.
"Oh, nah." Tristan sounded super casual.
"Then why…" Daphne was spiraling now.
