"But isn’t it really tiring for Dad to keep running around like this..." Jordan Lane mumbled softly.
He might only be nine, but Jordan was sharp—way smarter than most kids his age.
Just about every night, it would be around 10 p.m. when he saw his dad, Elijah Knight, rush over from work, still in his office clothes, barely catching his breath. Then come early morning, before the sun was even up, Jordan would groggily stumble to the bathroom and spot his dad still grinding away on his laptop in the study.
Jordan couldn’t help but think—if he and his mom just moved back into the Knight house and lived together as a family again, maybe Dad wouldn’t have to work so hard all the time.
"Don’t forget that song—'My dad’s a superhero,'" Vivian Grant said with a little grin as she affectionately ruffled her nephew’s hair.
Jordan pouted. "That’s just stuff they make up to keep little kids happy!"
"Alright now, no need to worry about your dad. He’s a grown man—he can handle the hustle," Vivian sai
