"Clara, you and that sweet mouth of yours!" Emily laughed. "We're not in a hurry. As long as this family can slowly get better, that's all I could ask for."
"Exactly, no rush at all. I'm not even thinking about dating anymore—it's boring. Making money sounds way better!" David added with a grin.
Clara's words had brought a warm, joyful vibe to the whole room.
Soon, Sunday rolled around again.
Clara checked on Sean's leg, then headed over to see Nicholas.
"Can you feel anything in your arm?"
"Yeah, I can move it a little!" Nicholas said, eyes lighting up.
For years, his limbs had been basically useless—he couldn't even lift them.
"Looks like you're recovering even faster than I expected. Give it a few more days, and you should be able to pick up light stuff. No problem."
Nicholas was bursting with excitement. For the first time, he felt like things were finally turning around.
"Thank you, Clara," he said earnestly.
"No need to thank me. You're part of the family now, and no matter what
