Chapter 39
Raymond Walters knew this wasn't just some casual offer—but we're talking a hundred million. Whatever conditions they had, he'd just go along with them. No questions asked.
"I want your employee David to take the lead on designing and developing the game. No interference from anyone else."
"David? That junior staffer?" Raymond tried to recall—yeah, the name rang a bell.
"Sure, sure! That's no problem at all. Honestly, I've always thought David had potential. I'll make sure he gets the opportunity he deserves," Raymond flashed a flattering grin.
"I'm not done. As for your nephew—I don't think he should stay at the company."
Raymond froze. "...Huh?"
Where did his nephew factor into this?
"What? You're not on board with that?"
"No, no—not at all! Consider it done."
He's just a nephew. What's that compared to a hundred million investment? He'd fire him in a heartbeat.
Nicholas wrapped up the meeting and left.
He'd been keeping a low profile for years, hiding part of what he was capable of.
