Summer Knight gave her a quick glance before shifting her gaze away.
The woman had been tagging along since Emily Hayes walked into the store—clearly one of Nicholas Hayes’ people. Summer had noticed her sneak out her phone earlier, probably reporting to Nicholas.
But Summer couldn’t care less.

Emily was getting more and more flustered just looking at Summer. With trembling hands, she fumbled to pull out her phone, trying to call her brother for help. But her hands were shaking so much she couldn’t even find his number.
Seeing this, Summer raised an eyebrow slightly.
Then she started walking toward Emily, casually but with an edge in her step. A cold smirk tugged at the corner of her lips, eyes gleaming with mockery.
