Chapter 101
It was already close to midnight when Sabrina got out of the shooting range. She was still new to this stuff, and Cassian was straight-up insane-training her with real guns like she wasn't even a beginner, like she wasn't even a woman. The guns were crazy heavy, and she'd had to hold one up for two whole hours. Her fingers were still trembling.
Accuracy-wise, she wasn't great yet, but at least she wasn't completely missing the target anymore.
Cassian hadn't stopped yelling the whole time-every word stung, sharp and humiliating. She swallowed it all, silently promising herself that one day he'd have no choice but to shut up and admit she was good.
And yeah, part of her couldn't help but think-when his luck finally ran dry, she'd be the first one to rub salt in the wound.
Ever since they left the range, Cassian's phone had been blowing up. He finally answered, probably annoyed to death by the ringing. Sabrina could hear the harsh tone on the other end, even without putting her ear close.
