"Just hope you've got enough brains so I don't have to keep looking out for you," he said coldly, glancing at her before getting up to pour another glass of water.
Sabrina blinked through the haze and looked up at him. "Just now...it was you who saved me? What about Ashley and...the others?"
"She's at the police station. Every word she said to you was recorded. My lawyer can make sure she'll rot in there for life."
Thinking back to Ashley's wild, desperate expression, Sabrina felt a wave of heaviness in her chest.
Truth was, she'd had no real evidence-no film, no fingerprints. It was all bluff.
