Chapter 22
That night, Sabrina slept unusually soundly-so much so that even sharing a room with Cassian didn't wake her.
But even in her sleep, she felt like a pair of deep, unreadable eyes were watching her. Those eyes were too dark to see through-she couldn't tell if they were filled with tenderness or danger.
When she woke up, Cassian was already gone. She immediately sat up, took a few quick steps, and saw that tall, strong man walking out of the walk-in closet.
He moved with ease, dressed in a sharply tailored navy-blue shirt that was only half-buttoned, exposing a toned chest and those defined bronze muscles-it was... a lot to take in.
His hair was neatly styled, his face ridiculously handsome-like, movie star-level-but cold. He was fastening the last few buttons when his eyes met hers.
One glance, and then a cold warning shot out from Cassian: "I've got an important deal with Mr. Turner today. You'd better watch your mouth. If you screw this up-I'm not going to be gentle."
