When Curtis carried Delia out of the bathroom and gently laid her back on the bed, the dark red spot on the sheet jumped right into view.
Delia's cheeks flamed instantly-she smacked a hand over her face in pure embarrassment.
Curtis saw it too. His dark eyes were unreadably deep, but after just one glance at Delia, he scooped her up again without a word.
"Wait-where are you taking me?" she blurted, startled.
"Go chill on the couch for a bit. I'll change the sheets."
Delia had nothing to say to that. She buried her face in her hands like an ostrich pretending the world didn't exist. Seriously? Could this get any more awkward?
But fine, if he wanted to do it so badly, let him. She was in no state to argue-and honestly, her legs still felt like jelly, so good luck getting her to move.
