Chapter 231 Just Keep Her Barely Alive
Frost Manor loomed ancient and solemn. Michael stood in the center of the living room in a black suit, his posture straight.
Easton sat on the main couch with a thin blanket over his knees, a cup of tea in his hand. He looked up. His noble face betrayed no emotion, but he frowned slightly when he heard the news Michael brought. He still wobbled unsteadily when he walked. Now, his legs were eased into a relaxed state.
Michael relayed Christian's words concisely and respectfully yet not servile in the least. "Mr. Frost, Mr. Parker asked me to inform you that Sean has left the hotel and his whereabouts are unknown. So, please be on your guard, Mr. Frost."
Easton gently rubbed the warm rim of the teacup. As expected, Christian was a smart man. This gesture was both a reminder and a favor. It also handed the problem—Sean—right back to the Frost family.
Christian wouldn't get his hands dirty with the Frosts' mess. Yet, he didn't mind doing them a favor and making them indebted to him.
