Chapter 790 Sentence Him To Death
After bringing Tyr Summers in, Green Dragon paid obeisance to everyone inside and took his place in his seat.
“Let us begin.”
Andusk Dragoon was impatient and wanted to avenge his son. Hence, he did not want to wait for a second longer.
The look in his eyes was one of fury as he glared down at Tyr, who was at the stand. He couldn’t wait to stab Tyr with a knife at the sight of his indifference.
“Tyr Summers, do you admit to your crimes?”
An explosive roar resounded throughout the court, which came from Third Elder Nicholai Myers of the Council of Elders, who was the arbitrator of this arbitration meeting!
“What crimes?”
Tyr looked at Nicholai, hints of contempt in his tone.
Nicholai declared, “You killed Pendragon, the son of the Grand Elder of Six Doors. Are you aware this is a capital offense?”
“Capital offense?”
Tyr snorted. “Pendragon was claiming women left, right, and center and committed crimes in violation of the law. I killed him to rid the people of a scourge.
“What’s more, did you see me killing Pendragon? I heard that he fell into a lake while drunk and drowned himself.”
“That’s bullsh*t.”
Andusk Dragoon couldn’t help but furiously smack the table in front of him. “If my son really fell into the lake and drowned, would all the bones in his body be shattered? What kind of joke is this?’
Tyr defended, “Then, what does that have to do with me? The weather is cold in Strego City. The lake was frozen over. Your son could have fallen that way.”
“Nonsense.”
Andusk blew a fuse as he glared. He looked to Nicholai. “Third Elder, this kid is the culprit to my son’s murder. Please sentence him to death immediately.”
“This…”
Nicholai was hesitant. After all, this was a little too abrupt. They did not yet have conclusive evidence that Tyr killed pendragon.
However, it did not matter. Andusk had sent someone to investigate Strego City in advance. The evidence was already on its way.
Throughout the entire arbitration meeting, Green Dragon sat in repose with his eyes closed. It was as if he hadn’t taken the matter to heart at all.
Or, perhaps he had complete control of the situation.
Right then, a man was brought in through the door escorted by two members of Six Doors. The man was, in fact, Kace Jones.
“Why are you here, Kace Jones?”
When Tyr saw Kace being brought into the tribunal, he was also caught off guard.
However, Kace refused to stoop lower to answer Tyr. He immediately approached Nicholai. “Kace Jones of the Jones family of Strego City greets the lords of Six Doors.”
Seeing Kace come in, Andusk’s eyes narrowed. A light flashed in his eyes as if everything had gone according to plan.
“Kace Jones, do you recognize the man on the stand?” Nicholai asked.
Kace turned to look at Tyr, who was profoundly staring at him.
A chill inadvertently ran down Kace’s back, but he soon regained his composure. “Yes. His name is Tyr Summers. I’m his subordinate.”
“Oh, that’s good.”
Then, Nicholai looked at Tyr. “Do you know him?”
“Yes.”
Tyr smiled. He was curious why Kace was here, but the current situation seemed somewhat unfavorable for him.
However, it did not matter. Tyr regarded himself as an outsider. This was Six Doors' grand show. Tyr was safe no matter what.
Of course, if Kace truly betrayed him, there would be no further need for the Jones family to continue to exist in Strego City.
“Kace Jones, how did Pendragon die?” Nicholai asked the crucial question.
Kace answered without hesitation. “He was killed by Tyr Summers. My men and I went to Heart Lake Building with Tyr Summers that night. I witnessed Tyr Summers murder Pendragon with my own eyes.”
“Do you have evidence?”
“Yes.”
Kace pulled out a flash drive and presented it to Nicholai.
Nicholai then plugged the USB drive into the projector. The projector opposite the tribunal lit up, and soon, the recording of Tyr murdering Pendragon and threw him into the lake appeared on the screen.
This short video recording of Tyr killing showed the events of everything that had happened.
When such a video was played out in full view of the public, the faces of many who were present grew somber.
Arbitrator Nicholai Myers even stood up, pointed at Tyr, and accused, “Tyr Summers, the evidence is here. What else do you have to say for yourself?”
Tyr frowned slightly as he stared at Kace while the latter turned his head away.
Tyr had no way of denying anything when placed before this ironclad evidence. He could only admit to his crime.
“That’s right. I indeed killed Pendragon. But aren’t you curious about my motive?”
“You killed my son. That’s already a capital offense.”
Andusk also abruptly got to his feet. “Go to hell and repent, Tyr Summers. Third Elder, please have him convicted immediately and sentence him to death.”
Nicholai glanced at the elders and arbitrators present and asked, “What are your opinions? May those who agree to convict Tyr Summers raise your hands.”
There were a total of eighteen arbitrators present, and twelve of them raised their hands.
Nicholai nodded. “In that case, I declare Tyr Summers’ brutal murder of Pendragon proven valid. He will be sentenced…”
“Hold it!”
Green Dragon, who had sat in repose with his eyes closed this whole time, suddenly spoke.
Nicholai stopped and turned to look at Green Dragon. “Gate Master Green Dragon, do you have anything to add?”
Green Dragon stood up. “Third Elder, aren’t you being a little too hasty?”
“What do you mean?”
Green Dragon answered, “We only know that Tyr Summers has committed the murder but not why he did it. Could Tyr’s words be true, that Pendragon had violated the law? Should he still be given capital punishment for killing him?”
Andusk furiously rebuked Green Dragon. “Green Dragon, what nonsense are you spouting? Pendragon is not that kind of person.”
“You know whether it’s true or not.”
Green Dragon was in allegiance with the boss of Six Doors and had always been at odds with the elders. Green Dragon did not need to give face to Andusk and so, he directly tore into him.
“Third Elder, Mr. Kace Jones may have brought in the video of Tyr Summers committing the murder, but he also has with him another video. I wonder if everyone present would like to take a look at it?”
“What video?” Everyone was stunned.
Kace then took out another flash drive.
