Chapter 942 The Transformation of Nemesis
“Alright then! Let’s go down to the sea and catch ourselves a shark. How about we indulge ourselves with that special treat tonight?”
Jermaine Leonard and Achilles also stood up. As a matter of fact, compared to a storm of shots and shells, they preferred to live an unrestrained and comfortable life on the island.
Just then, the phone in Clifford Hann’s pocket rang off.
When Clifford saw that it was a call from Tyr Summers, he immediately became serious. He answered it at once and greeted, “Boss.”
“I made several calls to White-eyed Ivory Dragon, but it didn’t get through. I have no idea what that guy is up to. Can you pass him the phone?”
Clifford was stunned and asked, “Okey-dokey, boss. What are you trying to contact White-eyed Ivory Dragon for?”
“Get him to send some people over to me. Cut the crap and get the phone to him now,” scolded Tyr.
“Okay, I’m on my way.”
Since Tyr had called up Clifford, naturally, Jermaine and others’ plan to catch a shark from sea went out of the window. The trio walked toward the gladiator arena.
At this time, dozens of beasts were in the middle of a fight with the group of Nemesis perverts. Everyone had changed too much since the first time they arrived on the island.
Take Matthew Collins as an example. His body was much stronger than before. He was at least two sizes larger now, his body looked like a mountain, and the power in his fist was extremely explosive.
At this point, a lion was as tall as a grown man was pouncing toward Matthew. Surprisingly, it was the lion that was flung ten meters away by Matthew’s fist. His single punch was able to send the lion flying ten meters backward. The strength from Matthew’s fist had reached the frenzied level.
Not just Matthew but Stephen Cole, Jamie Sunder, and Ashblood’s strength had also substantially improved. Even one-armed Martin Jakeman was now an uncompromising super sicko too.
Although Martin was one-armed, he was very swift, and his bottom half of his body was very stable. Just now, he had even used his legs to kick a leopard.
There were a total of thirty members of Nemesis present at the arena. In addition to those sent over by Tyr, such as Matthew and his group, dozens of other fighters found their way here from overseas. These were the newly reformed Nemesis.
Under White-eyed Ivory Dragon’s devilish drills for a period, all the fighters had undergone a huge transformation.
A large group of beasts had thirty members of Nemesis surrounded. At first, those beasts thought they had found some delicious prey. On the contrary, these beasts were the prey. These thirty Nemesis members were the real beasts in disguise.
At this time, White-eyed Ivory Dragon sat at one of the seats in the arena with his arms folded before his chest. His gaze was fixed upon the arena, taking in everything that happened below.
Next to him stood three men, including Devastation, Dhrishit, and Sigillum. These four men were the only four surviving members of the former Nemesis. Now, they were shouldering the heavy responsibility of rebuilding Nemesis.
“How does this group of kids compare with our brothers from before?” Sigillum couldn’t help but ask as he watched the performance of Matthew and others.
White-eyed Ivory Dragon replied, “As if those brothers of the former Nemesis are alive and kicking before my eyes!
“Every one of them is full of fighting spirit. All of them are equipped with first-class potential. Boss didn’t lie to us. He has brought us hope again.”
Apparently, White-eyed Ivory Dragon and the others found themselves pretty satisfied as they observed Matthew’s performance and others who fought below.
Yet, Dhrishit pointed at something this time. “Everyone else’s performances are pretty good, except that guy.”
The four of them turned their heads in unison and stared at a row of seats not far from them.
On top of the chair was Torbert Octavius, who was lying on top of eight chairs by himself. He was snoring loudly in his sleep.
He might have felt a little uncomfortable in his sleep. So from time to time, he would change his position. He would place his head upside down on the ground or put his thighs on the chair behind him.
The thunderous snoring of Torbert could be heard from time to time in the gladiator arena day and night. “This guy can sleep all day and night. How is he so tired?”
For Torbert’s behavior, White-eyed Ivory Dragon and others had all expressed their puzzlement. At first, they would call Tyr up, specifically highlighting the issue with Torbert. After all, Nemesis was a place full of hot blood and passion, not a place for this guy to sleep all day.
However, they received a three-word answer from Tyr. “Let him sleep!”
So, Matthew and the others had been here for a little more than half a year, and Torbert had been sleeping here for a little more than half a year.
What amazed White-eyed Ivory Dragon and the others was that, although Torbert only knew how to sleep all day long, his strength seemed to increase.
Among the four of them, only White-eyed Ivory Dragon could beat Torbert in combat; Devastation was barely an equal of Torbert. At the same time, Sigillum and Dhrishit were not the opponents of Torbert at all.
Anyway, in the eyes of White-eyed Ivory Dragon and others, miracles were written all over this guy’s body.
Soon, the battle over the gladiator arena was almost over. The ground was littered with the corpses of beasts. Some of the surviving beasts were scared of Matthew and his group after suffering a good beating. They no longer dared to go near these madmen.
At this moment, Clifford Hann came with his cell phone and walked toward them. He frowned deeply when he saw the bloody scene in the gladiator arena.
“You guys are a bunch of nut jobs.” Clifford couldn’t help but ridicule them. Then, he shoved the phone into White-eyed Ivory Dragon’s hand. “Call from the boss.”
White-eyed Ivory Dragon immediately became somewhat solemn as he put the phone to his ear and addressed his boss.
On the other end of the call, Tyr said, “How is the group of people that were sent over by the ship doing?”
“Not bad,” White-eyed Ivory Dragon replied.
Tyr continued, “I need some manpower in the north. I will pick ten men from Nemesis, and you need to send them over for me. Ask Torbert if he is willing to lead the team. If he refused, find me another man as team leader.”
White-eyed Ivory Dragon immediately nodded in agreement. He asked, “Ten people, is it enough?”
“More than enough.” Tyr replied, “It’s probably most ideal to have the original team members of my Wolf Den.”
“Ok!”
After hanging up the phone, White-eyed Ivory Dragon directly makes a video call with Tyr. He let Tyr pick the team members through the call. In the end, Tyr had selected ten people through the video call, including Matthew, Stephen Cole, Jamie Sunder, Ashblood, Martin Jakeman, and Vanessa Harris.
After that, White-eyed Ivory Dragon took the phone and went up to Torbert who was sleeping soundly. He gave Torbert a push to wake him up, but his effort was in vain.
Afterward, White-eyed Ivory Dragon put the phone next to Torbert’ ear. Tyr, on the other end of the phone, shouted at him, “Wake up! Torbert!”
