In the study, I asked Davis, “Do I really have to make the trip personally?”
“Yes. Because this designer…” Davis hesitated before continuing, “To use modern internal slang, he has a very high ‘b-ge’—as in high standards, high exclusivity. He apparently hasn’t taken on private commissions in ages.”
I narrowed my eyes, gaze falling on the photo frame on my desk.
It was a picture of Scarlett.
“Alright. Schedule the appointment and update me on the time.”
“Understood.”
After hanging up, I picked up the frame, gently wiped the surface, then placed it back in its spot.
According to the timeline in my previous life, Scarlett should’ve returned to the UK by now.
But my actions had altered the course of this timeline.
Therefore, I believed the outcome between Scarlett and me in this lifetime would also be different.
Shortly after, Davis sent me a flight itinerary.
A flight tomorrow morning… a bit rushed.
