#Chapter 76: Ultra High Priority
Cara’s POV
The Pack DarkWood hospital is eerily quiet. I only saw a handful of people as I rush through the lobby, a stark contrast to the usual droves of people coming and going.
But, of course.
It was the full moon.
Most of the hospital staff would be offsite tonight, if not outside running wild as wolves themselves, then most of the unlucky few assigned to work the overnight shift would be at the Pack House, tending to the newly shifted.
The first few shifts of a werewolf’s life were usually the most dangerous. Not only that, but add in the already-raging hormones of teenagers turned wolf and it was usually a recipe for disaster. Having medical staff at the Pack House was a proactive step that tended to pay off.
So the hospital tonight was nearly barren.
“Hello? Is anyone here?” I call out, my voice echoing in the hallway of the Allergy Department.
I’m quickly losing hope of finding anyone familiar with Mia’s unique needs when I’m shocked to see a familiar face
