I had spent three years of my life trying to make something work that was never meant to be. Three years of calling an office where my voice wasn't welcome. Three years of living as an Omega in a pack that saw me as nothing but a walking blood bank.
"Darius, even the strongest passion can fade," I said solemnly, feeling the weight of my Blackwood bloodline heavy on my shoulders. "I did give you a chance. I gave us a chance, for three years."
