Chapter 560
"Oh my, Brandon. Has she met your parents already?" the others cheered on.
Mayra frowned, feeling uncomfortable with the noises around her.
She was about to leave with her lunchbox. Out of courtesy, she needed to thank the others before leaving.
Mayra had never wished to be involved with Brandon.
Once she found a seat, she sat down and started eating. Brandon jumped through the window and came in.
He opened the box in his hands, revealing a cupcake and another piece of pastry. He set the two down before her. "Which one do you want? I'll feed you."
"Neither."
"Try this, then." Brandon grabbed the cupcake and moved it closer to her lips.
Just then, a few people walked past the opened window. When they saw Brandon's misleading actions, they covered their mouths and chuckled.
"I told you I don't want it," Mayra said, her tone annoyed.
Brandon ignored her attitude and propped his head against his hand while biting into the cupcake. It smelled amazing and looked far more appetizing compared to the food inside Mayra's lunchbox.
"Since Gordon doesn't give you money and is even making you eat this sort of food…" He leaned closer. "Why don't you just be with me instead? I'm really obedient to my girlfriend. You don't like the others, and I've already sent them away since you want to be alone. I'll keep you company, alright?"
Mayra couldn't be bothered to respond and remained unmoved.
In her past life, she had seen countless men before. After getting used to Anderson's looks, ordinary handsome men couldn't quite impress her.
She had to admit that Brandon was indeed extremely good-looking in a way that could lure one's soul. For most women, they would throw themselves at him despite knowing that he was not good for them.
For Mayra, however, good looks wouldn't guarantee reliability and stability.
"I have a boyfriend. I don't need you." She ate everything in her lunchbox and stood to wash the lunchbox in the lounge.
Brandon followed her closely without leaving.
"How much longer are you going to follow me around? Don't you have anything to do?"
In the next instant, she immediately regretted asking these questions.
"Of course, I do. I'm waiting for you to break up with Gordon. Does that count?"
Mayra paused while washing the lunchbox. Brandon kept repeating the same thing, and she grew sick of hearing it.
"You used to be so in love with Serena and now, you're pursuing someone else. Your love is so cheap."
He snatched the lunchbox from her hands and washed it for her. "It's because… you're really similar to her."
Mayra frowned at the disgusting thought that he saw her as a substitute.
"More precisely, she has been imitating your every move."
