Claire's POV
Klein carefully helped me to the large glass window of the baby room. His hand trembled as he pointed toward a tiny bundle wrapped in pink blankets.
"There she is!" he exclaimed.
I followed his finger and my breath caught. There she was, my daughter. Her face was delicate and pink, with long eyelashes that looked impossibly perfect. She looked like a tiny angel.
I pressed my palm against the cold glass, imagining I could feel her soft cheek. My eyes took in every detail of her tiny form as emotions crashed through me.
"She's beautiful," I whispered.
Stella, my wolf, purred inside me. "Our pup is strong. Look how she fights already."
Tears filled my eyes as memories of my previous pregnancy surfaced. Last time, I never even got to see what my baby looked like before the doctor said my child was dead. The pain of that loss still felt fresh, like an open wound that wouldn't heal.
As I stared at my daughter, thoughts of my lost child flooded my mind, making my tears flow faste
