Chapter 171 Delivering on the Promise

I turned around and saw Jack and Elsa standing at the door as expected. They hadn't even taken off their coats, yet he couldn't resist getting a shot in. Dad immediately frowned when he heard what Jack said. He snarled, "Do you have any idea what you're doing, Jack?" Jack scoffed. He took off his coat and walked over, with Elsa following him quietly. "I know what I'm doing. Does she, though?" Jack pointed at me with a disdainful expression on his face. "She just got divorced, yet she wasted no time in finding her next husband. Is she that eager for a man? If you ask me, she doesn't dare to have a wedding ceremony because she doesn't want anyone to find out that she's promiscuous!" Dad was infuriated. He took a step forward and intended to hit Jack, but I reached out and stopped him. I wasn't concerned about Jack, though.
