"Why are you so sure there's no connection?"
"If that toy factory really belonged to the Knight family, there's no way it would've gone bankrupt," Mrs. Knight said matter-of-factly, clearly confident in her family's wealth and resources.
"But then why do you have a whole warehouse full of those toys?" I really couldn’t wrap my head around it.
"Because the factory where Henshin Toys was renting space belonged to our family. When they went under, they still owed us six months’ rent. So, a bunch of equipment and finished toys were used to settle the debt. Over the years, most of it got cleared out, but a small batch of toys that were hard to sell just stayed there," Mrs. Knight explained. She then turned to me with a bright smile. "The factory’s not far. After lunch, I can take you all there. Evan can even pick out a toy he likes."
