Chapter 175 Keeping It Quiet
At dawn the next day, a private jet touched down smoothly at Jarnford Airport in Eryndor.
Trailing after Nancy, Jonathan stepped onto the unfamiliar land, his eyes darting everywhere with open curiosity. Even in the early hours, the city's skyline of glittering towers and the endless stream of traffic spoke of prosperity.
"Wow," he breathed. "Eryndor's grown this much already?"
Before his words had faded, a sharp smack landed on the back of his head. Nancy walked past without so much as a glance, her voice cool.
"Let's go."
Something in that blow carried the weight of authority. It cut his chatter short and left him swallowing his protest. A lump of indignation rose in his chest. All he'd done was compliment the place, so why did she hit him? Nancy was difficult to deal with.
Still, it was better to take the loss for now. He needed her to teach him her racing tricks. Rubbing his head, he bit back the urge to argue and hurried after her.
