Robert’s heart clenched as soon as he saw her—a shadow of the woman he knew, walking along the roadside, her steps heavy with despair. Without hesitation, he ordered Jacob, “Stop the car.”
His gaze never wavered from Eleanor’s figure, and with a firm voice, he commanded, “Bring her to me.”
Jacob noticed the urgency in Robert’s tone, nodded, and swiftly exited the vehicle. As he approached Eleanor, her figure seemed frail, almost broken, but as soon as she noticed his presence, her body tensed.
"Madam," Jacob called out, his voice familiar but lost to her in the haze that clouded her mind.
Eleanor recoiled instinctively. Her voice, raw and strained, broke the silence. “Stay away...”
Jacob froze, his brows furrowed in concern. This was not the Eleanor he knew. Her face was flushed, her expression one of anguish and confusion. She didn’t recognize him at all.
For a moment, he hesitated but then extended his hand, intent on guiding her back to the car. “Madam, the Fourth Master is waiting.
