MAD DOG
Jennifer’s gasps deepened as she stumbled in her steps the more she drew back.
Her hands lifted in the air, and her fingers trembled as they pointed directly at me.
“Y…you…” she stammered.
My face clenched hard in confusion as I watched her.
My lips pulled up in a worried look as I muttered.
“Is something wrong, Jennifer?
You look terrified.”
I could almost burst into laughter seeing her on the verge of going mad at just the sight of my face alone.
Her hands moved to her hair as she held on it tightly shaking it.
“You are alive?
No…no, this cannot be,” she muttered.
Then suddenly, her head lifted.
Her eyes flared wide, that deranged look glinted on her face.
One I had not seen in a long time and she snarled.
“This is not possible.
You must have come back to hunt me.
I’ll kill you before you ruin the beautiful life I’ve built these five years,” she breathed, and I heard her clearly.
I stood still not moving as I predicted her next move.
