Lucien and I walked into the office, side by side, earning stares from literally everybody.
“Are they a couple?” I heard one man ask, and another woman giggled as she replied.
“I don't care if they do, but I can't look past how perfect they look for each other. Plus, look how she's glowing.”
The anger that was in my chest was sligkthy evaporating. I was supposed to be happy that he was playing a part in his children's lives, but I wasn't. I didn't want him to even know their names. But there his name was, already signed on the school papers. They were going to call him in case they couldn't reach me.
I didn't know what Lily was going to think about that, if she even got a whiff of that.
I turned to look, noticing that he was walking closer to me that he was, when we got out of the car.
“What are you trying to do?” I asked, and he smirked.
