Juliet didn't dial Asher's number.
Tossing her phone onto the table, she lowered her head and rubbed her temples.
Ariane was upset when she saw the state Juliet was in, and her heart ached for her best friend. "Come on, eat up. We'll come up with something later."
"I don't feel like eating," Juliet replied.
Ariane nudged the takeout toward Juliet. "We need fuel to keep moving. You're not alone, you know."
As soon as she finished speaking, the door to the studio opened.
Blinding light poured in through the entrance, and a tall figure stood against it.
The figure couldn't be more familiar. The man possessed a natural sense of oppression, and even the workers in the studio subconsciously stopped what they were doing.
Asher had tracked Juliet all the way here. He was still wearing his expensive, well-tailored suit, but his tie was a little loose, and his hair was a little messier than usual, which gave him a more rugged appearance.
