Nydia's heart trembled at Norman's words.
Her biological child, Ted, wished to push her away, yet a child with no biological ties to her wanted nothing more than to stay by her side.
It seemed that contrary to belief, blood ties didn't matter as much. It was more about attracting like-minded people and gravitating toward each other.
"You rascal. I think you just want me to cook medicinal meals for you."
"So, will you cook them for me, Ms. Vega?"
"Well since you want it that much, I suppose I can oblige."
Norman hopped up in delight. "That's great! You're the best!"
By the time they returned to the villa with the herbs, it was only half past six in the morning. Nydia sorted the herbs and began preparing them.
Just as she started, she received a call from an unknown number. It was a local number, and she was worried it might be from a patient, so she picked it up without hesitation.
