It took all her strength just to grab the phone that was right in front of her. With trembling fingers, she finally opened the message from Fiona. "Ariella, the Aegean is amazing! I'm so, so happy." Attached was a photo of the two of them. That crystal-blue sea in the background, the way they looked into each other's eyes, their hands forming a heart together-so sweet, so romantic it hurt. Even though she felt like she was falling apart inside, at least her best friend was happy. For a second, she forced a smile. Yeah... she should be happy for Fiona. But the smile barely lasted. Tears started falling again, quiet and relentless. No one cared whether she was smiling or crying. She was drowning in pain, while the man who'd been in her life for two whole years-who she once imagined might stay forever-was out having the time of his life with someone else.
