#Chapter 398 Family Breakfast
Judy’s POV
I woke up to the smell of coffee brewing in the kitchen downstairs. I glanced at the time on the nightstand and saw that it was early; much too early for the staff to arrive and start cooking breakfast. Telling from the fact that Gavin wasn’t in bed beside me, I knew it had to be him in the kitchen.
For a second, I just lay there, staring at the ceiling and thinking about my conversation with Gavin a couple of nights ago. We were planning on hunting down Coraline Blackwell tonight, now that it was Saturday, and Gavin promised me we would go this morning.
Thankfully, last night was a dreamless sleep. Then again, I didn’t sleep deeply enough. I knew neither Gavin nor I slept that well last night. I could feel him all night… I could feel him right now. He was worried. He was always worried lately.
I let out a breath and pushed the blankets off, forcing myself out of bed. The smell of bacon and coffee drifted down the hallway, making my mouth water and my stomach grum
