Chapter 120 Go Plead With Her
For the first time, Alden lost his patience with Kiera, and he spoke with a coldness she had never heard before.
Her heart shattered. "I was just scared of losing you. You can't treat me like this!"
"Enough!" he snapped, cutting her off. "That's no excuse for ruining my plans! You know how much the resort project means to me, yet you sabotaged it for your own selfish reasons. You've really let me down, Kiera."
His ruthless tone hit her like a slap. She staggered, barely keeping herself upright. "So, what now? You're going to run to her and beg. Is that it?"
Alden hadn't slept well the past few days, and a dull throb pulsed in his temples. Repeated provocation had pushed the pain to the edge.
He didn't want to keep arguing. His voice was hoarse. "Right now, she's the only one who can help the Crestfall family. Once this is handled, I'll come back to you."
It was clear what he meant—he was going to find Thalia.
Kiera wouldn't let him go, wrapping her arms around him from behind
