"Is someone asking for me?"
A sultry voice drifted from behind.
Giselle turned around to see Rose Callahan, effortlessly stylish in a wine-red slip dress with a neckline that revealed her delicate collarbones. She looked to be in her early 30s—alluring, confident, and undeniably sexy.
Her gaze landed on Giselle's face. "Are you the one who called earlier?"
Giselle nodded.
Rose's eyes lingered for a moment before she turned. "Come with me."
She led Giselle upstairs to an office on the second floor and asked, "What's your name?"
"Giselle Whitman."
Rose froze briefly, then let out a short laugh. "Did you see the news today? Some rich lady with that name made headlines."
"That's me," Giselle said quietly.
Rose's hand trembled slightly, and a bit of ash from her cigarette fell onto the back of her hand. "And why would you be here, doing this kind of work?"
