Dylan nodded and disappeared into the night.
David leaned back on the couch, exhaling long and hard. "It all started with Diane spoiling her too much—always preaching about letting her express herself. She'd break bowls, throw things, and no one was allowed to scold her. That's how Giselle's personality turned out."
Camille smiled faintly. "Diane was highly educated and cultured. She must've believed in scientific parenting methods."
David snapped, "And what good did that do? Look at her now—she's nothing compared to Chantelle."
Camille said nothing, continuing to gently massage his legs.
Moments later, she looked up with a grin. "Honey, since Gav helped Chantelle open that studio, and it's quite far from Greenville Heights, I was thinking of getting her an apartment nearby to make the commute easier."
