Giselle smiled awkwardly and sat down on a small stone bench nearby.
Gavin sat across from her. "You used to do your homework here when you were little. Your older cousins would fan away mosquitoes for you, worried you'd get bitten.
"Your skin was so delicate that mosquito bites would leave marks for months. Every time you got bitten, your cousins always felt so sorry for you. I was the one responsible for helping you with your homework."
Giselle's mind drifted back to those days.
